Speaker Hojin Kwon
Hojin Kwon is the Senior Executive Director of SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System) Medianet, Korea’s leading television network. With over 32 years of experience in the media industry, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the global presence of Korean content.
He began his career in 1992 as a Sales Manager at SBS Productions, pioneering the international distribution of K-dramas. As an early architect of the Hallyu: Korean Wave, he has been instrumental in driving co-productions of dramas and animated series with global partners. In his role as an executive producer and commissioner for SBS Media Group, he has spearheaded numerous projects and is considered as a leading expert in K-content business strategy.
Hojin also served as the head of content acquisition for SBS, forging strategic alliances with Hollywood studios and international production companies. A recognized leader in the industry, he is a member of the International Academy
of Television Arts & Sciences and has served as a jury member for global awards, including Series Mania, the Global Entertainment Awards, the Asian TV Awards, the Asian Academy Creative Awards, Taiwan Creative Content Fest, and the Asian Content Awards & Global OTT Awards at the Busan International Film Festival.
