In her ten years at Sony Pictures Television’s US scripted studio, Stein has been influential in helping the studio build its drama development pipeline and diversify its talent portfolio, securing numerous deals, and expanding the team with accomplished executives. Additionally, she played a pivotal role in signing recent overall deals with Liz Hannah, Steven Lightfoot, Paul Grellong, Jessi Klein, Adamma and Adanne Ebo, and more.

Stein joined SPT as Senior Vice President of Drama Development in 2015 and was promoted to Executive Vice President of Drama Development in 2017. Currently, Stein is working on the next project from acclaimed producer Vince Gilligan for Apple TV+, the upcoming Spider-Noir series at Prime Video starring Nicolas Cage, and God of War from executive producer Ronald D. Moore.

Stein joined SPT from Chernin Entertainment where she was Senior Vice President of Drama Development. As one of the first employees at Peter Chernin’s new venture, Stein supported series such as Touch (written by Tim Kring and starring Kiefer Sutherland) on FOX, Terra Nova (co-produced with Steven Spielberg) on FOX, and Breakout Kings (from Matt Olmstead and Nick Santora) on A&E.

Additionally, Stein developed and produced pilots for NBC, CBS, Showtime, FX, SYFY, and Lifetime. Prior to Chernin, Stein served as Vice President of Drama Programming at Universal Media Studios. She began her television career at NBC, where she held several roles. While at the NBC Network, Stein headed up the Diversity Writer Program, where she worked with coalitions and showrunners to add underrepresented writers to their staff.

She is a board member of the Hollywood Radio and Television Society (HRTS). A native of Rockville, Maryland, Stein received a BA from the University of Delaware. She resides in Los Angeles.
