John Morayniss is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Blink49 Studios, a full-service independent studio launched in 2021. He leads all aspects of the company’s operations, including development, production, licensing, financing, and monetization across scripted and unscripted content for the global marketplace.

Since its founding, Blink49 has quickly established itself as a major force in Canadian and international television, producing a diverse slate of hits including Wild Cards (CBC/The CW), Sight Unseen (CTV/The CW), The Trades (Crave), and Ride (The CW), as well as standout unscripted titles such as Queen of the Castle (CTV Life), Beast Games (Prime Video), and The Braxtons (We TV). Under John’s leadership, Blink49 has expanded through strategic investments in award-winning production companies, including Front Street Pictures and the recent acquisition of acclaimed scripted studio Pier21 Films.

Prior to Blink49, John served for a decade as CEO of Entertainment One Television (eOne), where he built one of the industry’s most respected global content studios. During his tenure, eOne delivered acclaimed series such as The Rookie (ABC), Designated Survivor (ABC/Netflix), Sharp Objects (HBO), Hell on Wheels (AMC), Burden of Truth (CBC/CW), Hung (HBO), and Rookie Blue (Corus/ABC) as well as compelling unscripted series including Naked and Afraid (Discovery), Siesta Key (MTV), and LA Burning (A&E). In addition, John orchestrated the acquisition of international distribution rights to AMC’s The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead.
