Speaker Robert Schildhouse
Robert Schildhouse, President, BritBox North America and General Manager, BritBox International, oversees BritBox across all territories, leading global teams focused on editorial, product, technology and marketing across New York, London and Sydney. Robert first joined the BritBox team in October 2022 and has made remarkable impact, driving the service’s growth in subscribers, revenue and profit.
Working at the forefront of the streaming industry since its inception, Robert joined Hulu prior to its launch in 2008, progressing to become the leader of Hulu’s Content Acquisition organization, where he and his team led many groundbreaking and innovative deals shepherding hundreds of studios, networks, and global rights holders into the AVOD and SVOD market for the first time.
Robert then joined CBS Global Distribution Group as SVP, Digital Licensing and Distribution, later rising to EVP, responsible for monetizing the rights of the CBS, Showtime, and Paramount Television libraries to the streaming marketplace. He later transitioned to EVP, Business Development, where he was responsible for authoring strategies to expand CBS’s global footprint.
He began his career at GE Capital, where he was a graduate of GE’s Financial Management Program. Robert graduated with a BSBA from The Ohio State University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
