Within both network and studio communities, Tana Jamieson has built a career as a specialist in uncovering the next opportunity and shaping/packaging high-potential concepts to become relevant, sustainable and award-winning programming for streaming, cable and broadcast markets. Specifically, her expertise as a senior creative executive lies in ushering early-stage projects, operations and organizations through critical stages of development and growth to record performance. She positioned the newly formed A+E Studios as a leader in the identification, development and commercialization of scripted programming for U.S. broadcasters and the global market, producing shows like The Lincoln Lawyer, Big Sky, Parish, UnReal, Roots, and more. At A&E, she discovered, reconceived, packaged and developed BATES MOTEL (derived from Hitchcock’s classic, PSYCHO) into an award-winning original drama series. This series renewed in June 2015 for fourth and fifth seasons. Prior to her time at A+E, she launched TBS’s movie and creative affairs division where they were ranked #1 in TV movies 4 of 5 seasons vs. all other networks in cable. Tana's colleagues in the entertainment industry have shared their respect for her ability to recognize/find and develop “hits.” This work has put her in a position to be consistently involved in the negotiation and structuring of intellectual property acquisitions. Most importantly, she is able to draw upon an extensive network of contacts (directors, producers, studio heads, writers/showrunners, agents, actors) to optimize the quality and marketability of all projects.
