A graduate of the Institute of Political Studies in Lyon and holder of a DESS in audiovisual communication law from the University of Paris-Sorbonne, Morad Koufane began his career at the Conseil Supérieur de l'Audiovisuel in 1994.

In 1995, he joined the cultural services of the French Embassy in New York as assistant audiovisual attaché for three years before becoming Audiovisual Attaché in Lisbon in 2000. He continued as a freelance strategic and artistic consultant working for important media groups and consulting firms (EY, Orange, Ubisoft, Publicis Consultants, Lagardère), notably in Qatar from 2006 to 2009 (working on the design of an international event on innovation in education - “World Innovation Summit for Education ” – and author of a five-episode pan-Arab educational reality TV series, broadcast in 17 countries, on innovation - Stars of Science).

He joined the Research Department of France Télévisions at the end of 2010, specializing in trend and social studies, he took over the management of the group's strategic planning in 2017. In early 2020, he became project director at the Transformation Department. Since September 2020, Morad Koufane has been Advisor to the Chief Content Officer of France Télévisions.

In January 2022, he became Deputy Director of International Fiction, in charge of acquisitions and co-productions.

And in July 2024, he’s Director of International and Young Adult Drama, overviewing 30 plus developments at different stages: Dine (Kabul, Zorro, The Kollective, Le Comte de Monte-Cristo, The Swarm, Drops of God, Bardot, Coeurs noirs, In her car) and to come (Le Tour de France, Okavango, The Gullivers, Pegasus, Lucky Luke, The Woman Driver, Alice Guy, The Emperor's Stone, Seuls, Revolution).
