Speaker Kevin Wallis
Kevin is an eleven time Canadian Screen Award-nominated Writer, Showrunner, and Executive Producer, which is a fancy way of saying he has spent an alarming amount of his life writing jokes and rushing to make deadlines. He has written, produced, and executive-produced hundreds of hours of television, which is impressive to no one but industry insiders (maybe).
He is currently in post-production on the fourth season of the Canadian Screen Award-nominated sketch series Abroad (Rogers Media/OMNI), about the immigrant experience in Canada, which he co-created, showruns and writes for. He is also the Showrunner, Writer, and Executive Producer for Season 2 of You’re My Hero (CBC Gem).
His past credits include ten seasons of the award-winning Air Farce (CBC, PBS, The Comedy Network), followed by ten subsequent Air Farce New Year’s Eve specials, Second Jen seasons 1-3 (City, OMNI) earning Canadian Screen Award and Writers Guild of Canada nominations, Newborn Moms (CBC, ABC), and My Kitchen Can Be Anything (CBC Comedy).
When he’s not running multiple shows at once, Kevin enjoys thinking about but not actually sleeping, politely avoiding LinkedIn messages, and wondering why he decided to write this bio in third person.
