Speaker Sarah Haasz
After over two decades as a Broadcast Executive with leading networks such as YTV, Treehouse TV, CBC Kids, Disney XD Canada, Disney Jr Canada, and most recently Family Channel, Sarah has transitioned her extensive industry expertise
into children’s television production. She now focuses on developing original IP and supporting producers in bringing their projects to life.
Sarah recently wrapped Season 2 of Gangnam Project, a live-action series she created based on her experience as a 1st generation Korean/Canadian. Her producing credits also include the Emmy-nominated Circuit Breakers, a live-action
anthology series for Apple TV, and Step By Step: Let’s Dance, a live-action dance docuseries that premiered on TVO Kids in September 2021.
During her tenure at various networks, Sarah played a key role in the development and execution of hit series such as The Next Step, Raising Expectations, Backstage, Gaming Show, Playdate, and Justin Time. She also served as Creative Producer for The Next Step Live On Stage Tour in 2015. Across her career, Sarah has contributed to over 2,500 hours of children’s programming spanning multiple genres.
In addition to her production work, Sarah has taught in the Children's Entertainment Post-Graduate Program at Centennial College in Toronto and currently serves on the board of the Youth Media Alliance.
